Grades will be based on assignments, test and quiz scores. Although the quarter and semester grades are not weighted, by design, test grades make up about 80% of the report card grade. The semester exam is designed to make up 20% or less of the entire semester grade. The semester exam will not count for more than one third of a letter grade (i.e. a semester exam could change a B grade to a B minus or a B plus, no more or no less). Generally, there will be one graded homework assignment due each week. Graded homework will count for about 20% of the final grade. Grading Scale 93-100% A 85-92% B 77-84% C 70-76% D 0-69% F Grading criteria may be altered for students in Study Skills Class upon review of the student’s performance in class, his/her performance in other class and their NEDT or other aptitude test scores (especially the communication, reading and educationability scores). Altered grading criteria is done individually and only after a meeting with the student and his/her parents.
